What incredibly bad luck to get hit by this kind of flooding just a week and a half after we got hit by one of the most severe t-storms ever. A couple houses on my street got crushed by big trees from that storm. Now major flooding. Horrible. Awful. And frightening. Nowhere for this water to go.
steve392
Insane flooding starting to happen by me in little ferry. Only positive is it's low tide, so storm drains will empty streets quickly after it stops.
donsutherland1
White Plains picked up 1.32" in the past hour. That's the second highest hourly mark on record for July and fourth highest for summer.
Snowlover11
Looks like the heaviest rains are slowly pushing east but not before the damage has been done. Still a few more hours to go with light/moderate rains continuing. Took a little walk and the creek at the end of my hill here is fully onto the road. Looks like maybe the backbuilding is ending. Still pouring here but it's breaking up just to the west in Somerset County. I'm a little over 5 inches of rain here now. A moron tried to drive through the flooding, and he had to abandon his car right in front of my house. I hear the loud yelling and cursing right now.
