It actually peaks on the 22nd (after midnight) and it turns out that's on a new moon (yay) and it's also the peak of the Orionid meteor shower! It makes zero sense right now, the sun rises well after 7 am and it's still dark here at 7:30. DST year round doesn't make as much sense as Standard Time year round does. The sun rising at 4 am in the summer is just fine, that's actually the best time to wake up in the summer. Either that or leave your blinds/curtains down. Lake effect rain doesn't have a ratio of a billion to 1 to fluff it up.
