A beautiful weekend is underway! After a chilly start with many spots well down into the 50's with the lowest at our typical chilliest station at the Warwick DEOS with a low at 51.1 degrees. Both today and tomorrow will continue our run of below normal average temperatures but with high temperatures getting close to normal both days. We finally get back to normal August levels by Monday and continue warming with some low spots touching 90 degrees by Wednesday. We stay dry through Wednesday, but shower chances begin to creep up by that night and through the end of the week.

Early shot of BN temps always a good sign imho. Not because it guarantees a decent/cold winter, more because decent/cold winters often have late summer/early fall cool shots.

I moved my Tempest once again to a much more stable location. The neighbors removed a big pine tree, which opened the spot up for me. It's solid now. The "jury rigged" clothesline prop was a bit shaky, and I thought if we got a good enough windy thunderstorm that it might come down. It's not going anywhere here, but is still above the fence, and a bit farther away from the house.

Yesterday was our 3rd record low of the month here in East Nantmeal besting the old record set Saturday in 2006 (records back to 2004) This is nowhere close to the County record of 49 degrees set in Phoenixville back in 1989. We should see a warming trend starting today with temperatures even here in East Nantmeal reaching the 80's for just the 2nd time this month. We continue to warm through Wednesday when some lower spots will likely reach 90 degrees. A few degrees cooler to close out the week with a chance of showers starting Wednesday evening.

Now I could use some rain, as the ground has been drying out. I have .04 rainfall for the month so far. The Mahantango Creek is reflecting the diminished trend.

Past few nights have been so nice. I wish summer had more days like that. I remember many nights like these as a kid in the 90's but I swear it's just unbearably hot and humid most nights now. My parents didn't have AC upstairs as a kid so we always slept with the house fan or downstairs depending on how hot it was.

Mow #21 in yesterday it was 10 days in between mows this time. We really could use some rain.

Low of 59.  Today should mark 11 straight days of negative departures for MDT before things turn around for the foreseeable future tomorrow. Onward.

Weed and grass growth has stopped here entirely. It’s dry.

We should see for some spots today recording their first above normal temperature day so far here in August. The humidity will also increase. The warmest day of the work week should be tomorrow with temperatures well up into the 80's and maybe touching 90 degrees in some of the valley locations. A front should pass through the area on Wednesday night which should bring the humidity down toward the end of the week. We could see some showers and thunderstorms with the front by Wednesday evening. Next weekend looks sunny with increasingly warm temperatures.

If you get back in a car thats been running,  and look at the diggi thermo, it ususally is hotter than ambient temp.  Go down the road 5 miles and its 5 degrees cooler.

Like I said, the record lows were already shared. I shared a record high that happened yesterday. Why would I post about record lows that happened over a week ago and were already shared?
