First month of meteorological summer is near. Looks like we virtually start up warm after the month begins, but it looks to be a head-fake as it goes downhill again by the end of next week.

I am now smelling the wildfire gunk. Much like the smell of many times in Colorado.

Detroit- 42
Flint- 37
Ann Arbor- 35
Monroe- 41
White Lake- 37

The 42F at DTW is the coldest June temp since 2003.

Some of the coldest spots in the rural western U.P. were in the 20s

This is the kind of day when you go out fishing early in the morning you need a hoodie/pants, and by 10am u switch to shorts/t-shirt.

Good shots at rain coming up. Need lots of precip to stave off worsening drought conditions. Most fires in NE MN are out now. Jenkins fire has some hot spots that are being worked on. Small fire up in the BWCA is being tended too as well.

Frosty start here this morning at 35°. Coldest I remember for the start of met summer. Also see the high temps backed down several degrees for this week. One 80° day looks likely Tuesday now. Should stay pretty comfortable for the first week of June.
