Probably 70s out here, but I agree it should be nice. This week was always supposed to be iffy. We'll probably get good weather just in time for the smoke to ruin it

Yeah obviously I'm all for getting enough rain for the garden during the spring and summer, but we definitely don't want it to stay wet for too long.As you said, fungal diseases can become a problem when it stays wet for too long. My tomatoes, peppers and eggplants have had some problems with fungal disease in recent years, but I've been spraying them with a biofungicide. It causes the plants to have an immune response and works pretty well. It has significantly reduced fungal disease problems for me. 

We definitely could use a drying out period after this event tonight into tomorrow. I'm glad we're going to see sunny warm weather next week.

The color scheme on Pivotal is absurd. Nothing about this map says 60s and low 70s. This map looks like it should be 80s and 90s:

Off topic for this sub forum but that is some nasty smoke over the northern plains.  Thankfully the prevailing flow will keep it away from the Northeast at least for now.

FWIW the HRRR Smoke model does have some smoke swinging through tomorrow at various levels of the atmosphere. If that happens and if its noticeable tomorrow obviously remains to be seen. (pun intended)

The location of the upper low holds the key to our first 90°. If it gets out of the way like the 12z run today, then we’ll have our first 90° next week at the usual warm spots. More of a 0z solution then we’ll top out in the 80s. This is a pretty big jump in just one run. But models usually struggle with closed low solutions.

oh that high in the 12z run is in a GREAT spot, there would be a downsloping westerly or northwesterly wind with a high in that position !!

Have to believe that 12Z type solution is going to set up sooner rather than later.  Hard lean from me on first 90 at usual warm spots mid to late next week.  Pattern is going to flip and hold very soon.
