Eps pretty decent from this range during the days 11-14. Around 2" imby.

The EPS & GEFS are both showing their 15 day snow maps with increasing amounts for PA & getting the 2 inch snow line down to near Richmond, VA.

I like seeing the ensembles juicing up as a signal of what the next 2 weeks are capable of producing.

Hopefully it verifies to feed us hungry snow geese. Hoping for a big snowfall/blizzard of 2 feet, then we can move on to spring.

Gfs finally showing what I've been waiting for to believe the weeklies' great pattern. PDIII. There are 2 snowfall maps attached because, like PDII, it's long duration (2 days), so you need to ADD TOTALS FROM BOTH MAPS!

The 6z GEFS through day 16 continues the juicing up. The 6 inch line gets to northern Dauphin county & the 2 inch line gets way down to northern North Carolina.

Quite the signal…

Believe it or not, 0z was slightly better. Probably due to a bigger hit next week.

Let’s hope the GFS gets some company at 12z.

Yeah, its on an island right now, but man that 6z snow map was one like we've not seen in a while....

Gotta love digital snow.

IF the GFS has a clue, its gonna be a nice little run in the next couple weeks.  Pattern evolution says why not, so here's to hopin.

Snowfall line went back north a bit. Eps not budging.

as I know you know, with the way things have become wrt models Ops/Ens snow maps, biases etc, its really tough to pin down at this range, so just to see things somewhere inside the goalposts is all I look for at this juncture.  Unfortunately goal posts are pretty wide right now, but with some north and some south, were in the middle which is good.  Truth told, I'd rather have more members in the south camp, cause we all know things head north as we close in.

Lastly, that PDIII event on the maps is just a beautiful looking setup.  If only we could lock that one in.

Low of 27 here.  I'll start investing more in tracking as we roll into next week but good to at least see some favorable signals emerging.  First we have to get through a 3-4 day stretch of +10ish AN type days.  National high of 87 at the trusty 'ol staple of Rio Grande Village, TX and low of 1 at Presque Isle, ME.  Carry on.

If the GFS is still showing the PD III event a week from now, I'll start throwing chips at the table. That's if I don't spend them all this Sunday at the pre Super Bowl poker game.

Who are you kidding.  You'll pawn off your snowblower for more poker chips if needed....and so would I.  Thats a thing of beauty (map wise).

I'll just add on here that since February 1st, the town of Mammoth Lakes has received exactly 100" of snow as of 6:00AM Pacific time. It is snowing currently.

A few more beautiful mild February days on the way before the pattern changes to a more typical winter pattern next week. There is a chance some valley spots in the county could see near 60 degrees on Saturday. Rain looks to arrive on Monday night and if some models are to be believed could mix with or change to some wet snow toward Tuesday morning. Some models have multiple potential winter events over the next couple weeks so stay tuned.
Records for today: High 64 (1965) / Low 4 below (1895) / Precip 1.00" (1895) / Snow 10.0" (1895)

I got banned for a month for trying to be funny, but this forum gets invaded by the troll army every five days and the useless Ohio janitor can't even come over to spray a can of Raid?

He was probably buried in all that snow. You'll find him in the spring. Maybe.
