This is why I'm glad I downloaded site blocker to limit my time on this site, lol All I need are the insights from the good posters after the models and ensembles run on the Zs...I can't keep dealing with this other stuff and all the swings...nor do I wanna get sucked back into that myself.

So I put a certain person on ignore and I started noticing them pop up in my feed again.  I thought maybe there was a site policy where ignore expires after a certain time or something.  So I went to re-ignore and I see that he is still plainly shown as on my ignore list.  Anybody have any idea what is up?

I honestly didn't know that such a product existed.  Of course I also just found out about specialized software that notifies someone's "accountability partner" if they visit a porn site.  Maybe we can use it here and set it up to notify somebody if we look at an op past 120 hours.

Happy (belated) anniversary to you, @mappy!!! And hard to believe that Dec. 19 storm is now 14 (!!!) years ago!   Then again,  cannot quite grasp that my daughter just turned 20 on Nov. 1!   I know this is "out of season," but here's a rose for you for your anniversary, if I may!  I rendered everything but the rose bud in black and white.

People's mood swings are crazy in here, it gets unreadable anytime something looks slightly less favorable compared to the previous day ("OMG, no digital snow yet, aren't we supposed to be going into this so-called great pattern by next week???").  It honestly makes it difficult to sift through with all the panic and other trolling BS.

Yeah, it's mostly enjoyable talking about science.. but everyone talking about everyone's agenda is weird. The science will verify or not. Yet it seems that nothing comes forth here as "the truth" (very few people actually care to be honest). Just kind of lazy posting is all I'm annoyed with, no big deal, mostly enjoyable making friends and learning and getting better

This is an age-old, circular, meta debate on all forums ever, which will never be solved, but imho it is better to mute posters than to post 15 times a day on how and why other people's posts suck, how they have always tended to suck, and how you expect them to suck going fwd. Not everyone is into using ignore features and that's fine. But, again only imho, the complaints, if excessive enough, become as annoying as the trash posts. Some complaining is cool though, like I am doing here

I have plenty of folks on ignore, even if I do try to be mindful of not creating my own personal echo chamber.

I do wish the board software could hide the quoted posts by those on ignore though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hard agree. I love ignore, it is a beautiful function, but it is completely ineffective when everyone quotes and responds to the people I’m trying desperately to ignore lol

It’s also funny to read all the regions posts and see how different posters can be. In the New England thread and this region’s threads long range discussion there seems to be optimism on the pattern unfolding around new years into the month of January. And correctly so I believe. But reading the NYC forum one would think it’s time to till the garden and get ready to plant. Same guidance they are looking at but it’s really a forum led by trolls and CC agenda driven posters. That whole regions posters should be ignored

If someone else quotes the ignored person, you can see their post.

I actually didn't either until I think @SnowenOutThere told me about it (thank you!) There are actually a few apps you can choose from. It blocks sites and apps for whatever increments of time you choose. I only just started using it last week, but it already seems to be helping

LOLz. Not for effect. I have to play Tetris with food items regularly. This is fridge 2. My wife gets to have extra room for food when I can find room for it. She loves the extra freezer space though. And I’ll always make room for  Laughing Cow and some cheese tortellini!
