HRRR finally caught up to the other models...time will tell with the radar returns.  Notorious French Broad snow hole is always a potential.

Light snow @36/27

Snowing moderately here. I've been nursing a migraine and didn't even know it had started.  About an inch here also. Temp down to 30.

Migraines suck, hope you feel better

My wife says it looks like a good inch and half accumulation at our house and coming down good.  Take that for what it's worth, I've found her visual estimations in regards to snow to be all over the place

Looks about right from my standpoint regarding her estimate. It's a wet snow that sticks to everything. Looking forward to some amazing pictures in the morning.

I'd say that is pretty accurate with what I have here. Yall get it before we do because of the moisture coming in from the south.

Yep, this is one of those setups I've been waiting on, I think 4" is a good call as long as the raggedness stays away.  Still waiting on a nice, big organized low to crawl up from the Gulf.  Preferably when I'm at home lol.

I'm pulling for you next weekend! Looking like additional chances before this cold pattern finally decides to relax. Cataloochee might be skiing into April at this rate.

Yeah I agree. The good thing is that we still have plenty of time for that.  This winter for me has been 10 times better than the past several.

No doubt, I know the winter we moved up they had the big December storm (I think the neighbors said 16" for us)and then we had one or two minor events after we moved in come February but that was it.  Last year was blah, still better than any winter in Charlotte but only 10-12" for the season.  We were at 14" before this storm, felt like winter all season, got to hunt in the snow a couple times, some decent cold snaps, etc.  Gonna be a wild ride from here to the end of April!

Was that about 2 or 3 years ago?

Rates and flake size have finally picked up!
