It's the old adage....why do people love watching train wrecks (literal) and car crashes. Most people don't want to see anyone hurt, but we just can't look away. It's human nature.

Then again the weenie in me can’t be reasoned with and more than likely I’d root for ice damage.

Still warm at the shore, they are getting spared any more damage for the time being. Lots of >=33F readings in interior E CT as well.

SE MA all above freezing. Toasty on the Vineyard & Nantucket.

..SLIPPERY TRAVEL AND OCCASIONALLY LOW VISIBILITIES LIKELY THIS
EVENING...

Occasionally moderate snow has formed in a band across portions of
central and Midcoast Maine early this Tuesday evening. This
includes but is not limited to the I-95 corridor from the Gray,
Lewiston area northeastward to Augusta and Waterville.
Visibilities will be restricted to around a half mile at times
through 8 PM with roads to continuing to be snow covered and
slippery.

Wow. Bad melting from you today. I was seriously just asking what you had because there was a split in town with the western side toward the CRV being 29-30°. sorry I stole your snow.

Turn your heat on btw in case you lose power.
