Are you up here full time now?

I'm about 40 percent up here.  Right now I'm in GA where it's nice and sunny and dry.  LOL.  I'm getting my snow fix through my webcams right now.  I was up there last weekend to feel the minus 3 though.

I bet you're loving that location! How long is the drive between the two?

It's been just over a year now and absolutely love it.  My son and I love to also hit Beech in the summer and ride their bike park and we can literally bike over there in just a few miles.  Life long dream finally happening.  :)

If we drive non-stop its 415 but we always have to hit Starbucks.

Bout 4.5 hours I think. I'm from the same area I just transplanted full time to Boone ha.

My wife and I say we will be here full time...one day.  We still have a kid in the house (17 years old) so the possibility will open up sooner vs later.

Just walked out the door to 14° and light snow.  Caught me by surprise!

I've had more snow this morning then yesterday. Not that a light dusting is really more impressive than a lighter dusting lol.

That's not too bad. Enjoy it! Sounds fantastic.

Next Tuesday-Wednessay looked great on the Euro for the mountains. 6 plus inches of snow with temps falling in the teens and wind gusts in the 30 mph range.

Couldn’t agree more it’s looking great for snow to stick around for a while also

Why is there not a thread following the 29-31 time period, we are within 4 days and every time we see a new model they continue to show that time frame with snow and increasing amounts.  :mapsnow:

Well this particular thread is the winter mountain thread. We mountain people keep all of our events in one thread as to not clutter up the forum. If a storm threat thread is going to be made it will be from someone outside the mountains.

Yeah we don't need 50 pages of cliff jumping for each storm. LOL.
We just roll with the punches.

Exactly and no doubt thats what youd be thumbing through. Ill get nada mid week most likely, but definitely come in here to see how you guys make out. Thinking this looks like a 2-5 for the below 4,000ft crowd and 4-8 above 4,000.  East of the ridge line, be happy if you net flurries, till out in the ciastal plain.

Since nobody has posted in a day here, I take it the event next week is nothing more than a little cold weather. Is there anything, I mean anything, on the horizon for something worth looking forward too?

I'm still going 4-8 for you. Let me know how it shakes out. Here's latest models, Good luck to you guys!

Wow. Thanks. I haven't seen these. Maybe a little more than I thought. Sure isn't much hype from GSP or the news outlets. Still hope we all can score something major in Feb.

Looks pretty good for you Buckethead. I hope we can get an inch or 2 down my way. I am not going to be all doom and gloom while we are actually getting winter weather. It is going to be very cold with snow in the air. That is winter to me.

Better enjoy the slightly drier weather.. Its gonna get very wet again starting next weekend

yep go figure next weekend a rain event, gets cold we can't get the moisture then turns warm and we get two days of rain, I would love to get two or three days of snow for a change but it doesn't work out that way, :axe:
