Looks as if it's gonna miss to the west and east, which is what the latest run of HRRR shows. I think we'll see very little rain tonight, which obviously is opposite of what forecasts are saying. But it was a nice downpour for about 2-3 minutes. Looks like a small circulation is trying to form with the blooming batch of convection near and east of the Jersey Shore. Early in the day someone pointed out that NAM had the heavy rain missing NYC to the east for tonight. You said radar over models, but the NAM ended up being right. I missed those heavy training cells to my West by about 5 miles. Some places in Passaic County had 3-5” today.
