downeastnc Posted January 22, 2016 Share Posted January 22, 2016 still hanging out around 27/21 here in the eastern part of NC, NE wind kicking up....be nice for that precip to get in here early might force MHX to go with a warning for us since we shouldnt get above freezing till early afternoon......could easily see more sleet/zr than they are forecasting if it does get in here soon.....I think the cold is a bit stronger here than I was expecting.....been well below freezing since 7pm last night so the ground and stuff are primed and ready just need the precip to get up here. Thinking we might be near the edge of the all frozen thermal column as reports just to the south started with IP. The stuff that fell here at onset was really weird.
