gravitylover
Bacon, egg and cheese with pepper and ketchup or tabasco. Pastrami. egg and cheese is where it's at though. Hot dogs ONLY get mustard and 'kraut. Ya hear me? ONLY! Ketchup is also acceptable on burgers but only if they have grilled onions and pickles. Fries should have either brown gravy or spicy bbq sauce.
gravitylover
I just remembered the other acceptable use for ketchup- ski bum tomato soup. Most ski area cafeterias have a condiment table with ketchup and relish packets, ask for a cup of hot water, mix 'em up and bang! Lunch

uncle W
Uncle, another interesting list, my question is this. You list on here the December 1947 storm had 26.4 inches of snow. I have seen that storm listed as 25.8 inches and also as 26.4 inches. Do you know why different places seem to post different amounts? And do you know which one is correct if either? I know you've posted before that the snow depth from that storm was 26 inches the day after it fell. If that's the case I would guess at least 30 inches fell if they measured properly at six hour intervals. the old record from almanacs is 26.4"...I thought the 25.8" came from Battery Park?...I'm not sure anymore... 1947... http://fultonhistory...le A (2251).pdf http://fultonhistory...le A (2253).pdf
Ralph Wiggum
Sriracha is damn good on just about everything including eggs. And whats the difference between ketchup and catsup? Regardless, both suck.

As I remember, 25.8" was the reading, And it was at the Battery, as you correctly recall. Next year (Dec '48) we got a 19" storm, at the Battery, but now officially around 16" at Central Park, I think. Wish they still measured down there.
