Same here Cyclone, perhaps a more depressing December than any we've ever had. At least give us some sun if we are going to see practically no snow.

Shots of Tampa Bay durring the Packers game are looking awfully nice.  Never thought I'd utter them words in the month of December but our seemingly lack luster decembers of late in SE WI is depressing for a snow monger.

had some of the wettest snow I have seen in a long time overnight. It has plastered everything... so beautiful!

4" last night and another 5-8" tonight through Christmas Eve. If you're gonna nickel & Dime it, this is the way.

Hahaha, I wish I lived somewhere where 4" and 5-8" were "nickle and dime" type events...

Detroit had 7 days with 1"+ depth in Nov, and 0 so far in December.

Going back to 1906....here are the Decembers with 3 days or less of 1"+ snowcover. (most, but not all, had several additional days of T depth, which we have yet to see in Dec 2014)

0 days - 1928

0 days - 1931

0 days - 1998

1 day - 1918

1 day - 1923

1 day - 1936

1 day - 1955

1 day - 1965

1 day - 1971

1 day - 1982

1 day - 1986

1 day - 1993

1 day - 2006

2 days - 1913

2 days - 1939

2 days - 1948

2 days - 1968

3 days - 1941

3 days - 1943

3 days - 2003

3 days - 2011

This will be just the 8th time since 1906 that November saw more snowcover days than December, and has potential to be the most stark difference.

...........Nov...Dec

1913 -- 4 --- 2

1928 -- 1 --- 0

1949 -- 5 --- 4

1955 -- 3 --- 1

1956 -- 8 --- 6

1971 -- 3 --- 1

1996 -- 6 --- 5

2014 -- 7 --- ?
