For those of us who grew up in the 80's, it would've been cool to have access to forums and weather info like there is now thanks to the internet and improved technology....although other than 83, there wasn't much to celebrate snow wise in that decade...

Jan 82 and April 82, jan 87. that was it.Feb 83 wasn't topped until Jan 96. By the way, it is snowing steady but not super hard in Woodbridge, NJ.

We did manage to have snow days every winter in the 80s though. It had a lot more arctic outbreaks as well compared to the 90s which other than 2 or 3 winters mostly sucked.

Looking December 2009 esque with the heavy snows in CNJ

20F, moderate snow

Let's hope not; that set the tone for the rest of that winter; Woodbridge didn't get any of the big events; never cleared a footIIRC. But what can ya do? it is still snowing steadily here though, just north of the Driscoll Bridge.

I have been literally right on the edge of the heavier echoes, a couple hours ago I checked the RAP and it was very accurate, showed heavy bands cutoff around Southern NYC

Oy vey. that usually doesn't change in these set ups. If true we may top out at 4-5 while the coast hammers a lot more. Seen it before.
