The only redeeming thing a out the whole situation was that we left town a few hours after the storm for vacation and missed out on five days without power during massive heat. The bushes love the warm, humid conditions. Unfortunately, the wet makes some of the tomatoes develop splits. Still, I've been eating homegrown tomatoes for a week. Hurray for summer.
