Weaverville obs: Temp. 32.5° Humidity 53% To be fair, I didn't see the snow flakes, but two other fellow met majors informed me. I hoping this means there won't be too much virga with this one! phil882
A few flakes flying and 33! This is a great sign... these are just light echos compared to what is coming just to the west in Tennessee... so I think we got a shot on getting in on that heavy band that drops a lot of snow in a short period of time. Lookout
wish our temps were lower before it arrived. Don't worry, they will drop in a hurry once the precip starts. Wetbulb zero heights are very low so even with temps well above freezing, snow should reach the surface right from the start or very soon after. My concern isn't the temps, it's how much precip makes it into ga. It would be great if it was similar as al right now. Down to 38 here. Dp went up to 25 at one point, now back down to 22. Earlier runs of the ruc had me at 40 with a dp of 35 right now.
FoothillsNC
There are some good echoes about to arrive in GA from Alabama. Snow should be coming down pretty hard between HSV BHM and ATL and Rome over the next few hours.

tnweathernut
Nice virga storm here in the TRI - think i have seen two flakes. Narrow band of precip with snow undoubtedly reaching the ground just to the west of KTRI. We will see if we can eek out 1/2 inch. I am not hopeful as it appears to be rapidly weakening.
