  1. Light snow showers in Cashiers, 34° Sent from my Pixel 7 Pro using Tapatalk
  2. Beautiful flakes off and on through most of the morning, dropped to 20 degrees around 11:30 and now warmed to 23 with sun peeking out. Only got a dusting overnight which melted, then a second dusting mid-morning that's mostly melted. Definitely underperformed the official forecast but I love seeing flakes flying, regardless! Congrats to those that cashed in on this March surprise! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  3. Roughly 15" here this season in Cashiers. Let's add a couple more tonight, please! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  4. If it were 70 and sunny, he'd be complaining about that instead. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  5. The fact there weren't any storm related posts during the event was the impetus for my criticism. Glad you're safe! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  6. I guess we got a little overzealous with the storm thread, huh? Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  7. Up to 6.65" now for the event total. What a deluge! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  8. Just passed 3.7" event total in Cashiers. Plenty more where that came from according to the updated Flood Watch. It is pretty amazing that some areas are still solid white despite this! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  9. Wow that's crazy. Just 30 miles east-southeast we only got 1/2" or so. We always get the NWFS shaft. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  10. Got a little over 1/2" of graupel and snow in Cashiers NC. Boy is that wind really gusting and blowing it around at times! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  11. Some beautiful flakes falling in calm winds in Cashiers. I love daytime flakes! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  12. Light flurry action here in Cashiers presently. County schools were let out at 11:30, however my charter school child is still in class. They're smarter.
  13. When I was younger it was to make sure there's milk and vanilla for snow cream. The joys of adulthood and responsibility have replaced snow cream with gas for the generator and diesel for the tractor. Growing older sucks! [emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  14. GFS has been killing it especially on the last storm, correct? Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  15. Woke up to a solid dusting in Cashiers, maybe 1/4-1/2"! Watching the Tuesday event! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  16. There is a glaze of ice here in Cashiers, NC. We must have gotten a short period of freezing rain overnight. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  17. Plenty more potential excitement coming up, I look forward to tracking the wins and losses with y'all! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  18. Low of 16 in Cashiers this morning. Looking forward to some thawing today as the ice damming on my brand new roof is causing icicles to form from my soffit vents. Not a good look! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  19. Haha, I promise I wasn't trolling for the sake of trolling. I'm pulling for the non-mountain folks! If it's a nighttime storm then let it stop at the escarpment. I've got enough on the ground already. [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  20. Unpopular take, but IMBY I only want this if it snows during the day. This last storm was kinda lame during the day Sunday but bonkers during the dark hours Saturday night. I only want to have to scrape and shovel if I can watch it fall! I know, I know. I need to check my privilege as a mountain man. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  21. I've lived in Cashiers and Glenville for the last 35 years and I can't remember a single time there were back-to-back weekends with big dog snowstorms. Has my memory just completely failed or is this truly anomalous? Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  22. Getting diamond dust and occasional flurries all the way in Southern Jackson from this stout northwest flow. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  23. Best guess for Cashiers would be 13" including an inch or so of sleet, but it was horribly difficult to get good measurements given the wind, the few hours of sleet and compaction after the first 9" and three more inches of powder on top overnight. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  24. Big flakes and lots of them again. This backside is performing nicely. Why couldn't it snow like this while the sun was up? Dangit! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
  25. Sky is darkening and flurries picking up in size and quantity. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk
