  1. Yes some rain here. The front out West looks decent. .18 is a win these days.
  2. Wonder whether the incoming line from the West nudges the coastal rainfall shield further East, missing DE and getting mostly Southern asnd Eastern NJ. I hope not. Amazing that Central VA is clear at the moment.
  3. Looks nice, as does the fire pit area.
  4. Your grass will be going dorment soon. Its already dry here today after .45 yesterday . Looks rather dry next 7 days. As the days continue to get longer and we approach June looks like wateribng flowers and garden will be needed.
  5. .40 here, surprised and happy that the plants got a drink.
  6. steadier rain congealing over NE Maryland and below I-95 in DE Looks like this area may get lucky. Plants are happy.
  7. The area of precipitation seems to be trending a bit east Southeast hoping that maybe I'll get at least something but we'll have to order tomorrow.
  8. Thought I saw seasonal precipitation during the summer as being above normal near the Mid-Atlantic coastal area maybe it was the European model. Also thinking about the implications of the El nino.
  9. Looking at the radar this morning it appears that the rain showers are further north in Pennsylvania I thought that the models yesterday were depicting most of the rainfall being forced to the South but generally less overall.
  10. Yep very dry here as well. The sun is very hot during the afternoon, had to water my garden tonight because I am fearful tomorrow is only .25 of rain, if that.
  11. I hope your right, time will tell. I miss snow.
  12. Seems the methodolgy of what is needed for a big Mid Atlantic snow storm is changing. That is sad as you say.
  13. Pretty cool spin West of Kitty Hawk, as the pressure drops at near 29.09 near Norfolk. Line of storms forming North South over the Chessy Bay currently.
  14. Yes, things are a changing. And, this would have been a great winter storm if it happened in the dead of winter. The rapid demise of the Northern Hemisphere PV happening even faster than the seasonal decline, similiar to what occureed this past winter in the Southern Hemisphere.
  15. Weekend storm happening near the peak of the + PNA.
  16. Its been a long time when this vast an area of rainfall was shown in the East, not to mention some 3 inch or higher totals in our area.
  17. WPC really ramped up the rainfall today in the afternoon update.
  18. Northern Lights tonight possibly. Space Weather just updated the Geo storm to severe status. Best viewing time 10 PM to 2 AM tonight.
  19. Line skipped over me and not holding hopes for signifincat rain. This is blah
  20. Line looking rather impressive currently, despite the lower dewpoints overall. Bowing structure starting to develop with the center aimed at, you guessed, Denton. Enjoy the storms @CAPE At my location presently branches already down.
  21. Day 6-10 Discussion:Late season frosts are possible early next week as far south as Northern SERC. Some of the daily departures will exceed 10 degrees below normal as a broad upper low centered over the Lakes and NE extends well south. This is a classic late season snow pattern near the Lakes. The only warmth in this set up is over the SW.
  22. Same here, looks dry all week. Rather windy tomorrow with low dew points meanwhile the Atlantic surf zone temps are rising fairly quickly with somespots already 56. Looked at the radar at 3 and 4 AM the activity was very spotty and missed most of us.

  24. You seem surprised, nothing new. The Atlantic SST profiles reinforces the WAR , SST distribution in the Pac is changing. Very difficult to get a long duration + PNA. Not to mention a hyper active jet stream, via the West Pac warm pool, which inhibits the + PNA. Expect more of the same in the years ahead.
