27 is the record low max for tomorrow.  If we did stay 25 these are the only days colder as late or later for DC:

My daffodils might have poked up a bit early.  Hope they will be ok.

I hope mine die a horrible, suffocating, hypothermic death frozen tonight, buried Monday and frozen again next week just for good measure.

Edited to add:  I don't know why some iPhone pix go sideways like that.

Yes and last Friday I wrote to take the GFS 850's, X the projection by 70%and then calculate the surface and I stated that led me to believe daytime highs would be in the mid 20's. There was wailing about blown temps and highs in the 30's to 40.

March sun is real now, you saw what it did to decent snow in a very short period of time yesterday, you see it's influence today. To be staying in a 25-29 range for Friday and a few days next weeek is super impressive.

I remember that one back in 73.

They need a little tweaking of the HRRR.  Mid 20s below for Chicago, whereas the NWS is around 0.

Do they have snowcover? I've noticed it seems to go crazy in snowcover areas if nothing else.
