Reminds me of this one Open Lines Art Bell did back in, I want to say 2013? He had a call-in related to aliens and Art asked the caller how he would feel about aliens if they came down and said they too were Christians. The caller said he would be okay with it, but then Art asked him how he would feel if the aliens came down saying there is no god, and the caller said he wouldn't be ok with that. The very end where Caleb and the little girl are dropped off into the new world with a rabbit always made me think they were trying to establish the new earth, specifically with the "Go forth and multiply," which made me think that maybe the writer decided the solar explosion was rapturous and only the littles move on, cutting out an entire series of middle-men and a mass judgment. I did see that Embiid guaranteed a Sixers series win. More bulletin board material for the Knicks after B-ball Paul said that the Knicks were the "easy team." I mean...he's right in once sense. The Knicks aren't the Celtics. But why would you say that right before you play them? Stupid.

All I'm saying is that it is going to take many decades or even more to change. Every single thing in our lives depends on fossil fuels in some way. Even things that are "green", at some point in the process fossil fuels play a big role in that so called "green" product. Good luck trying to change it any time soon. Even if you think of one of your hobbies, fishing. The pole, line, hook, lures; fossil fuels were used somewhere in the process in order to make all of that, ship it, etc. That is one tiny thing that would need wholesale changes.

Also, for anyone who has never seen Knowing, I actually do recommend it. Probably one of Nicolas Cage's better roles and the Sun portrays the Antichrist better than anyone in the history of cinema or theatre. Prohibitive favorite for top diurnal spread today... Bottomed out at 29 around 5:50 am just before the dimmer switch started elevating the light. It is onw 56 already. A 27 F correction thru 9:40 am. 850 mb Ts mature to +3 by 21z ... I doubt the mixing hgt gets that tall but we'll see. The sun is pretty ferocious now and sat and sky truth are both diamond clear with 0 inclusions. So the super adiabatic layer at the bottom will be violently bouncing against the ceiling. It may be a late high ... between 4 and 5 pm. Was visualizing about 67 at BDL and FIT and I'll be damn if MAV machine numbers are right there. But assuming so ... 38 or 39 spread at a time of year where a 1 to 2 pt machine cool bias is not unheard of ...we could cap out at 40 degree spread. wow Sneaky pick of the week day. I mentioned that today had a chance to be a gem but I think we're all too captivated by the size of the seasonal dong we're about to take Thursday to at least enjoy a swell day in the foreground ?

I have seen people suggest that it is angels (though that would mean God has spaceships) and that was the tree of life....then the other obvious one is it is simply aliens though one could expound on that and say that they are suggesting that angels are actually aliens. Lots of ways to go off on that ending. My normally non-sarcastic wife had a funny, sarcastic one liner with that tree scene when she said, "Time to eat some Apples."

Well it's hard to believe we are one week away from the beginning of severe weather season. Lots happens as we move through the first few weeks of May, plan life blossoms, the Bruins/Celtics make deep payoff pushes, the Red Sox be the Red Sox, and the weather warms and we even sneak in some humid days at times. We also turn our attention to the convective side and monitor for severe chances. A wonderful gift may be in store as forecast models indicate a strong shortwave trough traversing the Northeast region next Tuesday with unseasonably warm temperatures out ahead of it and perhaps a surge of higher dewpoints with the advection of rich theta-e air. If this potential continues, a thread can be made down the road. For now, let's focus on the arrival of May as we make the push towards summer! The first few weeks of May have potential to be quite warm, however, we have to watch as there are some indications an omega block pattern could evolve and of course we always have to keep an eye on for backdoor cold fronts.
