  1. Past hour
  2. True... And this has pretty much been expected mid next week. But after that, it's pretty clear that things are changing. And it seems that most models are on board with the transition back to a colder and hopefully, fingers crossed, snowier regime.
  3. Inside 10 days, that’s a heck of a look at 500mb. You can see the trough dig and take on a neutral tilt in the run. I really wish we weren’t stepping down from a blow torch because this would be money. We’d need more digging and time for it to go negative, which is doable, but likely this will be a close miss. .
  4. 58.6 under thick clouds here.
  5. There was a small uptick over 0z in ensemble snowfall, albeit meager. It's better than going the other way.
  6. Snow globe shaken in Boston. Big fluffy flakes floating upwards by the office window
  7. Great snow growth and grass whitening now in Boston Fenway area... And forecasts definitely busted a few degrees too warm this morning with continuing northerly drain in place As much as we continue to be starved for a meaty storm, at least this winter has given decent vibes with persistent cold and some white
  8. I am a true believer that the MJO is the primary driver. It overwhelms the other indices....it is ruining our January chances this year.
  9. I’m up to 34, skies brightening and melting starting…
  10. Pouring dendrites. Everything coated, even treated roads.
  11. NW flow is good for Elkins or Oakland. It usually kills east of mts., winter or summer.
  12. Should have put some IPA's out there in the snow, too. Talk about good times, lol
  13. Still locked in with deep fog and trees in ice at 31.7.
  14. What a choice for a football team name. I mean, I realized the name Redskins is eminently offensive and it really needed to be dropped, but Commanders?
  15. Doesn’t matter — the GEFS run surface anomaly output tells you this isn’t an icing setup at all. Not even close.
  16. Give me that pipeline continuing w/ the incoming trough from the 11th-21st, and let's roll.
  17. Canada looks incredibly frigid late in the Euro run.
  18. Snowing nicely now. I looked up from my reading so I’m not sure when it started-probably within the past 10 minutes.
  19. 1/6 was probably it for me, especially considering it stuck around so long. The February storm was nice - I ended up jogging something like 4 miles in my snow boots to meet my buddy at the bar. Was my last storm in FFX county before I moved. I'll also second MillvilleWx that we had one of the nicer Augusts I can remember.
