    Severe aside, one thing this system is over producing on is snow in northern Alabama. Web cams around Huntsville are impressive right now. I think a lot of that area missed on snow this winter so this is a pretty solid event for them. Looks like some 2-3” amounts likely

    Line of storms with a history of TOR warnings is racing into the SW portion of our area now and moving quickly NE.

    As much as I love bad weather I have no clue why I stay in Raleigh...we have to have the lamest weather outside of southern CA. How do you have a 4 out of 5 risk of severe storms and it does not even turn out the be a level 1 risk? You literally cannot even make this crap up...How do counties just to your east and west get 12 inches on snow and we get 2? lol

    One thing I'm watching is the cluster of storms moving north near Southern Pines and approaching the front moving east. That pinch point will have a lot of shear and we could get some rotating storms within the next 30-60 minutes.

    .36 from the line that passed through Stephenson nothing crazy but some much needed rain which my two Winchester buddies should be happy about but apparently both are on the pity train. Hoping any severe hits them and misses my house yeesh

    Just got home. First roll of thunder. This is bad timing for FCPS MD and MoCo. This line is coming in right at the 3 hr. early dismissal mark for the High schools here. Middle and Elementary I suspect may be held longer than their early dismissals if the busses have issues with the HS drop offs.

    Lack of lightning in this line tells me that it's not taking advantage of the instability that should be present. That will limit gust potential.

    There’s so many rain showers down in NC that it seems like it would be really hard to gain any instability here. Out west had some gaps in the clouds. Maybe some heavier puffs of wind can be brought from aloft in the showers but I don’t see much else for now. I’m interested to see how much steam the line near Lynchburg will have by the time it gets here.

    HRRR pretty out to lunch it’s not seeing the line west of dc. How long til that thing makes it east? Really is gonna arrive right at kid early dismissal pickup it seems.

    My peak gust was literally only 12mph and zero surface rotation. Definitely lightening up after the line passed. It looked formidable but kinda fizzled out with only brief heavy rain.

    I absolutely agree and so do a growing number of other people and concernd mets. I guess I should add that his live storm coverage is beneficial, and I feel like that's what he should stick to. Unfortunately YouTube's and other social medias revenue sharing is intentionally not conducive to responsible and honest anything. Some people stay honest and responsible, regardless. Those mets are easy to find because they don't have nearly as many subscribers.

    70/50 % on the TOR watch, 80/70 % on wind. Those are pretty robust.

    Heavy downpour. No wind or thunder. Looks like the severe stuff is just to the southeast of me with those warned cells.

    I thought the same thing about the surface winds. Normally we would be gusting outside of T storms 40 to 50 MPH. Rain showers causing this to be EPIC bust. lol
