  1. Past hour
  2. A sweltering summer night seemed like a good time for a comparison pic. July 1/January 25
  3. What a win!! And such a fucking bogus red card. How do you go from not even a foul to a red card from VAR? Watching the whole play, what do you expect Balogun to do there? We got this though, others will step up on Monday!
  4. Got to 99.9* on the PWS here. Currently 82/72 @1030pm ugh
  5. 89 for the high today. Currently 76. Wasn’t really uncomfortable at any point. Was a nice breeze all day
  6. A co-worker of mine lives in Pasadena MD. Over 20 years at this location w/ detailed daily obs, and he notes his dew point hits 80 often every summer due to the proximity of the bay. Does not matter if it is a near normal high temp for the day or a big heatwave.
  7. The "NITE" is still young... Scott looking forward to "heat lightning," which he still think is a thing! LOL.
  8. Still a very hot 93 degrees at Newark. Incredible how the heat can just linger in that area.
  9. Impressive win! Go USMNT! gonna be tough without Balogun next game…
  10. Yeah wasn’t bad just N in East Meadow for Little League baseball. Breeze helped this evening. One win away from winning the district & advancing to sectionals.
  11. At Massapequa Park tonight for fireworks, you would never know there was a heatwave, very comfortable night.
  12. Max 93 here today. DP 81. Both pretty typical for AACo.
  13. I smell derecho! Of note, the definition of derecho was modified last year and it's requirements are more specific and somewhat more restrictive. WxWiz and CoastalWx were proby not aware! https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/bams/106/1/BAMS-D-24-0015.1.xml
  14. Today
  15. We are absolutely buried in knotweed all along the West Branch up here. I don’t notice it in any of the larger feeders or flashier drainages like Notchbrook or Sterling Valley. It’s the West Branch here that flows through a lot of agriculture acres, golf course, draining fert and manure along the way in the larger valley (relative size around here).
  16. I’m up in vt and it was in the upper 90’s this afternoon. Glad I’m not running the ac at home.
  17. 84 at MSP. Storms missing to the south. Probably should just post in the July thread.
  18. 1982 is actually the only super El Niño to average barely -WPO DJFM (-.17)....probably largely why it's the only one in which my area pulled off normal snowfall. December was very strongly +, then January was about neutral before the bottom dropped out. Good Analog IMO. 1982 1.42 1983 -0.05 -0.89 -1.14
  19. Yeah, it's just a blank ASOS screen with the phrase No Carrier over and over lol
