A half inch coming just in time for rush hour? School districts should love this after being closed for so long! . -

I can say this with certainty....we are not finished wrt snowfall for this winter. Questions now are....clean storm? Thump to taint? Light events? Big storm? Im leaning towards a few lighter events and maybe a decent thump to shit as we roll into March. But those folks suggesting we are done just because we are in a cold/dry phase need to sit back and be patient. This season is very different as we have already seen. Analytics suggest a big storm isnt the norm in a Nina, but I wouldnt be surprised if we end with something 'blockbuster', whatever that may be. Things are reloading....buckle up folks. -
On the flip side the same can be said now with heat related health issues now. June and into July last summer were quite deadly. Point I’m trying to make is our winters have been growing shorter if you look at open and close dates for ski areas. The media tends to really go on and on about the cold but even when heat reaches oppressive levels they are much less in your face about it. My wife has also finally convinced me that I need to use moisturizer haha.

Mood flakes here at times today with a T. Season total remains 19.6".

Anyways, if we are getting a warmer break in our winter I do hope we manage to get some pleasant days out. While the snowpack (icepack?) has been nice I'm ready to be able to go outside without being bundled up. Hopefully will go to Shenandoah this Tuesday to see the frozen ice falls before they melt. -
Yeah, I know about those. I've saw some pretty good thumpings ahead of those when deep cold is ahead of them . Model's many times have underestimated the mixing from low level CA upsloping up the Great Valley. Not talking of the whole Forum area here.

Terrapin beach this afternoon. Wish I had those ice spike things for this, walk from road to beach was brutal, especially the last stretch right before the shoreline was an absolute sheet of glass

When you have high ratio snow the downside is it vaporizes very quickly. -

Yep, our historically run in the past 10 years has been a combination of failing to get good patterns combined with the extremely frustrating habit of wasting the patterns we do get. Is what it is but does continue to sting that we are going to exit another rare respite in our bad patterns with two close calls. -

I like this storm. Quick dustings-coatings are my favorites because its low stress and still pretty. -

I have had enough of this winter already because of the extreme cold - very unusual around these parts for it to be lasting so long and could be record breaking for the length of tme at or below freezing

We've got agreement on at least a dusting with less than 72 hours til radar hallucinations begin. Let's cook

I was just told… because of the snow, our groundhog is running on a two hour delay tomorrow morning. .
