  1. Past hour
  2. No but Kemp Mill shopping center close by is where it all started
  3. Wrapping up here in northern Queens, should be completely done within 30 minutes or so, just light snow now. Cleared off top of the car and windshield at 8:30, I see it covered now so will check soon to see how much has fallen over the past 3 hours
  4. Same. The wind was suppose to be in early AM. Nothing . .
  5. Definitely worth it though. Those nickel and dime storms get tiresome and old and overall a waste of time to track... 28F/breeze picking up
  6. Hopefully after harassing you the other day, @jbenedet can Sey-Mour reason for optimism moving forward.
  7. There's a loud minority which is really overcomplicating this. Not 7-10 days ago said minority was lamenting what they considered to be an eternal cold/dry, warm/wet pattern in which it would never ever snow ever again. Yet here we are this morning with a moderate snowfall across virtually everyone's backyard. So certain 7-10 days out, yet look outside the window. At least recognize that there's nowhere near anything approaching certainty as to whether we will or won't get another nice storm 10-14 days from now, no matter what any model says today.
  8. Cleared off the cars and a little on the driveway. About 1.75” in the yard. In a bit of a break here… just flurries 33.
  9. This event checked a lot of boxes, long duration, daytime, cold during and after. Measured close to 6.
  10. Looks like about .5" here. At least it will stick around longer than the previous one.
  11. PSU also has a rule of thumb type of thing where the odds of a certain type of snow season are based off of when his area records an inch of snow for the first time. It’s been a while since I saw the post but from what I remember it was something along the lines of if he gets his first inch around December 1st then there’s a good chance of a blockbuster winter, if it’s around this time of December then there’s good odds of reaching climo, but if it’s in the lead up to New Years and beyond then it’s going to be a dead ratter.
  12. I’ve really stalled out at 41. I’ve been here a while. Unimpressed. Strong cold front, sure but yesterday’s projections had me at 32 by now.
  13. had stopped at the store around 10 am or so in woodbridge mall and was surprised at a last second band that was pretty heavy; despite it being a weekend, the cleanup was crap. the lots are a mess.
  14. So this snow snow plus the previous two has put me at 11.5" for the season. 9.5" is my current snowpack, so since 12/2 we only lost 2 inches to melting/compaction. That's quite a testament to how cold the first half of December has been.
  15. ok calling it 1.5" total. it's icy on the bottom of the snow cover so maybe there was some compaction but whatever
  16. Western Suffolk county. uptons new WWA for Suffolk is 4-8”
  17. Pretty cool satellite view this morning of the streamers across ETN and the border areas. That's all snowpack around the lakes. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
  18. They do that just to save face and to say that they didn’t miss it.
  19. Sounds about right. Up until yesterday, I really thought this would be 1-2” of fluff I could hit with the leaf blower. The downside of over performers is shoving.
  20. Temp has dropped from 33 to 31 wind out of me! Looks like one more good batch is going to come in
