Looks like around an inch so far here. It’s so wind blown it’s hard to tell. Lots of people stuck on the interstate tonight… not a good situation.

Yeah I’m seeing some spot reports around 6” now in the Champlain Valley. Snowing steadily here. Over 2” now, grass is covered up, so it looks nice. Funny how hard 3/4sm -SN seems when you haven’t seen it in a while. Feels like +SN to an uncalibrated mind early season. -
I think that's unlikely based on what happened last Christmas I can see it being similar. Plus, I think we are going to an early SSW locked in for size weeks starting around first week of December last into mid January then the annual January thaw the pv reconsolidating and the some weaker again of the pv allowing for stretching of the pv but no more SSW but will allow winter cold and snow to return.

Hate to drive the stake deeper into your rear vortex…but it was a foot plus with blizzard conditions, right on the beaches last year down there on the gulf coast of western Florida, Alabama and New Orleans. The good news is…we are going to get ours this year…it’s our turn this winter. -
This is exactly why my question was covered in skepticism. These days I mostly ignore strat talk because it's failed so often over the last decade...and the one time it really worked the effects of it were too late for us down herea (February 2018 with effects in March 2018). We did get some first day of Spring snow though so that was kinda funny!

We need the return of the elusive Miller A if we want to bigly bust out of this snow drought. But since we’re heading into Nina winter, it probably won’t be this year. -

We need to stop the strat talk STAT! If there's any winter weenie index over the last 10+ years that basically ensures a nasty struggle then epic fail... its the Amwx SSW index. The more posts about it the less chance of anything good happening. There's literally 100s if not 1000s worth of post data backing this up. I mean sure, scientifically a SSW can be a precursor to blocking and cold/snow in the east but the more it gets hyped here, the less chance of it working out. This is a fact. But weenies gotta ween and my yards gotta fail. Thanks man

While we'll be freezing tomorrow, there is very good model agreement that we get quite warm on Sunday.

This reminds me of some event and it was in November in 1995 when it was like 60 and pouring rain here but a similar set up gave Baltimore like 3 to 4 inches of thunder paste. I was livid. -
