  1. Past hour
  2. The American MOS is trying to Charlie Brown the bigger numbers on Friday. Not a lot but MET is just 95, BDL to MHT, which barely makes the 'big heat' cut. For three straight days and 18 consecutive cycles, we were plugging 100s that we'll see if this late change is supported in general
  3. The guy working in the attic called it quits around noon. I told him it was to hot. He finally agreed. He asked about coming back Friday. I said nope. Wait until next week
  4. The notes say it was an unusually mild day for July.
  5. Temp is up to 95 here right now. Don't think we'll hit 100 today ... probably 98. But I'm looking for 104 or 105 tomorrow and Friday.
  6. 94.5/79/113 A lovely 83 and breezy here in Aruba though.
  7. It’s not. Waters warm at jones beach right now with the onshore flow. .
  8. My wife swam competitively for many years. I can't wait to tell her that tonight. She'll laugh from the safety of our pool.
  9. 7 definitely better but 6 is probably ok. 4 or 5 would not be.
  10. lol in Harford County the bay is clearly adding to some problems. Churchville (K0W3) with a 110° HI.
  11. Even if you hop out of the pool, you'll still be 80 deg.
  12. PWS next to the woodyard. Likely exaggerated but I've had enough for the day.
  13. I'm the head coach so I sadly don't get pool access anymore. I'm going to bring some Gatorade and maybe a cooler with ice water and towels in it so I don't melt.
  14. It was a pioneer clump. I check for it every year because I'm paranoid. I think I got it early enough with all roots before it could send out the rhizomes.
  15. Temps manageable....high dews making the HI nasty. Lots of sun through some slight haze.
  16. didn't go by the bank early this am def felt like one of the warmest early mornings i've experienced tho
  17. Scary because im also 36 and seeing this spooked me
  18. 93/76/105 at IAD. Dewpoints are legit.
  19. For all the talk of the arctic being cold, the sea ice hasn't got the memo, running near record lows. What I suspect, if the "cold" pattern continues, is that this will slow down heading into peak summer melt season like we've seen in the last few years. So we end up low, but not record low. On the other hand if melt off continues it would be yet another sign that something has indeed shifted.
  20. Rule #1 Never mow during a heatwave RULE#2 Mow less often during the summer RULE#3 raise the height of the lawnmower wheels to do a "long" cut Rule#4 see rules # 1,2, and 3
  21. 96/76/109 currently now. I felt the dews creep up the past hour.
