You are being hypocritical. You are cluttering up this thread with Chester County charts. IAre you saying that your arguments drawn from those charts are poorly constructed because the Chester County data has no relevance outside Chester County? You can't have your cake and eat it too. If Chester County is relevant to the rest of the world; Philadelphia, Allentown and Newark Ag station are certainly relevant to Chester County. In any case, the science is clear on this point, weather data is correlated for hundreds of miles. Chester County doesn't cool when the surrounding stations don't. In fact, as I showed in the Chester County thread, there is a very good match in the warming rate at the airport and the individual Chesco stations. Finally, we don't need any data outside of Chester County to know that Coatesville cooled significantly after the war. If you looked at the tables I posted above. You would see that Coatesville cooled relative to Phoenixville and West Chester after 1945 and Phoenixville cooled relative to West Chester and Coatesville between 1948 and 1949. The data from outside Chester County merely confirms what the Chester County data is already showing.

Look who made an appearance in the Mid Atlantic Winter preview thread… No one else has posted since in there… -
As of now, barring any drastic changes, the main Climate Driver Data extrapolated for the Winter suggests a strong SER presence. Of course, blocking is tough to factor in. If that were to manifest then things could be different...unless there's the SER -NAO Linkage. If you're a cold/snow lover like me it doesn't look good. As far as economically, it would be great as utility prices as well as other basic needs continue to rise. Many are having trouble making ends meet.

I had some scattered wind overnight that kept me over 40 like you, I assume you had the same.

Love the fall colors, but as soon as the leaves start dropping, all I think about is that its a month of heavy yard work coming haha.

50 is chilly in a little floating basket I would think. My dog spotted it and wouldn't stop barking at it. Thankfully it landed soon after I took the pic.

How's the foliage in Rockland County and Bear Mountain looking like? Any good or too early?

As they say, October snow is never good for the rest of the season. 2011 is another famous example, with the snowstorm on October 29, followed by a snowless torch from November 2011-March 2012 (and of course, an early taste of summer in late May 2012, and 100-degree days in July 2012 - the last ones until this June). -
Solid boomers got me up and going this morning around 4:30. Snagged .73” of much needed rain.

Maybe consider contacting a private wx org. They may have access to that kind of data they can direct you to.

I can live with that!!

It kind of looks like a classic closed off low around the Mississippi River and depending on the air patterns and blocking locations, it’s a gamble of it’s future track. Welcome to fall and winter fun.

It's 50 degrees up there haha

Stupid clouds ruined what shoulda been a bug killing night.

I had to think about this for a second then realized what you were talking about

I went to Os game when they were in town and he hit 2 hrs off his first two AB’s. Just amazing human. If you watch old clips of the late slugger greats, I always noticed that it looks like they just chip the ball, not hard swings. Othani does the same. He hits HRs seemingly effortlessly.

Of note today back in 1972 we recorded our earliest measurable snowfall in the county area. Between 1" to 3" of snow fell across the higher ridges of NW Chester County. Interestingly that winter of 1972-1973 ended up being the least snowy winter in County history. In fact, that is the only winter season that no measurable snow was recorded at Coatesville. No snow chances this season till next month. Today we warm nicely well into the 60's with low to mid 70's by tomorrow as we enjoy a little Indian Summer for those spots that have already seen a freeze this season. Rain chances to ramp up by Sunday night into Monday morning. We then turn chillier again for the upcoming work week. -
