Is there anyway you can delete or move all that shit out of the thread and enforce keeping it out ? -
I jumped off the cliff, crashed out, and landed in nothing but hopium below. This hobby won’t let you go that easily

I wonder what month Paul Revere used to install. -
If you want a period to watch for a storm. The Period ~15th is def. worth keeping an eye on... Possibly a big +PNA phase shift, well advertised actually, with potential for some southern energy running out during that time. Could end up as nothing. Anything could. But when I see that kind of framework, I think you watch that every time.

Last year Jan’96 repeat was modeled 6 days out and I don’t even think it we got a fine mist in the end. We haven't had a shortage of modeled snow storms and blockbusters recently - just a shortage, nay outright dearth, of storm verifications. We can complain and bitter about these recent winters, sure, but worse, the models. maybe its a good thing we don’t have an OP blizzard rn with an apparent ‘good’ pattern model presenting on ensembles. -
Please don't hire someone who doesn't go for it on 4th and 1

Basically, the 18z GFS traps a piece of the TPV under HL blocking. It just sits and spins while locked over central Canada. This is what ensembles might not be able to see. It kind of looks like LR ensembles w/ a SER. But...that SER is minor as it is getting lifted into place by the strong BN heights over Canada. The HUGE plus on this run....storm track is right over our forum area w/ repetitive winter events.

It snowed on my son’s birth date.

Understandable. I see it as a two things can be true kind of thing. The latter part of his tenure was saved by Lamar and was overall littered with wasted opportunities. If we had another HC we would've already gotten another ring. But at the same time...he was still a good coach overall and his record speaks to that. And I don't think anybody should rob him of the SB win either--that was the Ray Lewis effect but that doesn't mean Harbs did absolutely nothing to contribute. So he brought a lot of winning to Baltimore but not a lot of playoff success post 2012-13...so it was time!

the problem is we havent seen one model..not one give us a snowstorm in this time range.
-
Yep. At 8-10 days out, it won’t take much. We’ve seen way bigger changes at upper levels at less than 5 days out. Unlike some certain folks, I don’t care what the surface shows at that range.

18z gfs pretty much snowless through mid month. Rough times for peak winter -
1) January 2025, had snow on the ground nearly the whole month and had a couple “snow on snow” events. 2) October 29, the coastal storm that dumped a decent amount of rain. First rain event since late summer that didn’t have a series of walk backs in the lead up.

Been thinking this all day. It’s been trying and doesn’t seem impossible. Just need a few tweaks to reel something in.

H2O already answered, but to piggyback... and I say this as brotherly correction and not to be mean: I'm gonna reiterate what someone told me: This forum is not all about you. It ain't the Ji show. Yes I get wanting to vent but you need to consider the other people reading the thread. Posting every negative thought you have is not helpful in the slightest. It brings the entire thread down and contributes to the reason good posters have run away from this forum. Put a limit on yourself...if ya posted a couple negatives maybe lay off for awhile. If you stop putting out negative energy you'll get less of a negative response. I hope you listen, my brother. Not telling ya anything I'm not trying to work on myself.

who wasted their era more...Lamar Jackson or Ovi era?

Some local weather news. Montgomery County, as part of a locally funded initiative, will be purchasing some additional mesonet stations. These tripod/compact stations will focus on urban areas to better understand risk from heavy precipitation events and urban heat islands. The plan is to have a density of 6 to 8 miles per station. Equipment has been purchased, with the goal of deploying them this year. All data will be public on the mesonet website once the stations come online. A big day for @wxmeddler

After 200, the juiced STJ is firing right into an inbound Arctic air mass.

The only thing that jumps o8t at me is that the earlier storm covered more area.

Still cant forget the wasted years in the Lamar era- esp all the late blown leads that have ended in losses. Also the weird Monken play calling where Harbaugh wouldn't take a stand- That AFC championship game was unforgivable to me.

We got JB talking about a d15 warmup. Meanwhile, this GFS run is going to have it snowing in Cuba.
