  1. Past hour
  2. They had the whole state of CT gusting 50-60+ from afternoon until fropa….lol
  3. Today midnight highs EWR: 47 / 34 (-2) NYC: 51 / 34 (0)
  4. I worked out an office WOR back then, one of my favorite winters, I was driving Toyota Tacoma 4-wheel drive and never got stuck.
  5. It's been Torontos year this winter and one for the record books. So far 73" in Toronto and Im just over 50" (about 1 hour S)
  6. Oh no. Devastating. He always gave me so much hope and was extremely kind online
  7. We heard (and felt) the sonic boom from the meteor at the office in Brooklyn Heights, and then dealt with a barrage of phone calls and media requests that rivals a major severe weather event. What a day. Also saw some gnarly snow squalls today (and drove on some icy roads last night and this morning) as March does its thing. I believe that 85mph gust at Burke on Friday was the strongest gust measured at the site.
  8. Sort of... Big Bear area above LA, Andorra and the Atlas Mtns in Morocco are pretty close.
  9. Currently 24.1/13.0 at 9:30 pm here after a day of on and off flurries and a high just touching the freezing mark at 32.0 degrees. Record low is 16 from 1993, although NWS forecast is a low of 19, IF we get the winds to calm we could get close to the record.
  10. Most of interior elevated SNE gusted 60-68mph. The Mesos were fantastic
  11. Blue Hill Davis wxstation gusted to 90 last night
  12. March is turning out to be a wet month so far 4.55 rain so fat this month. Waiting on the snow in the rain Guage to melt to add to the total for this month.
  13. So I look outside and find out that a squall went through and dropped 3/4 inch....
  14. Today
  15. Down to 38 already. Think mid 20s looks likely
  16. I feel that it was for the initial front coming from the south and a new set of watches should have been issued from the front coming from the west. There was quite a bit of time where the initial wave that was in the afternoon was significantly lessened, while the 2nd wave (from the west) was the main one that I thought was the one that had the higher potential in NJ to form tornadoes. While they did have warnings I am surprised they never reissued new tornado watches after the initial ones.
  17. how far above average above climo snowfall, approximately, are you? "B"-grade seems harsh
  18. Roger was a staple around here and Eastern WX. Sorry to here this. God Bless his family.
  19. Damn. I loved his enthusiastic posts. RIP Roger.
  20. Yup, any snow is awesome snow…I like March snow..especially siggy March snow. But as you said, if we got to choose, or had to choose between the two, I’d choose the front loaded side of things for the same reasons.
  21. You are a damn polar bear! A nice little snow shower just rolled through here that dropped the temp to 28, got the treetops moving, and had some heavy flurry action. Fun.
  22. I could live with 70 and sunny for 8 months if you give me cold and snowy for four months. Unfortunately, there's nowhere in the world where that place exists.
  23. Temp here is already down to 27. AC is currently silent but on standby for the weekend. No heat until next November or December.
  24. I haven't heard anything yet. I went up the mountain after my last load when it finally opened, and you couldn't tell that anything even happened.
