  2. I vividly remember snow ripping during the day during better banding. It would finally start to accumulate with slush caked to absolutely everything. Then rates would diminish and it would change to light rain and everything would melt. The ultimate tease storm. .
  3. It's through NE zones... In fact, it's 53 in Groton and 66 2 mi S of me at the Oxbow ob on Rt 2, span of about 8 mi as the crow flies. ..so it's on my doorstop. 40s in Lowell and Bedford. I think this might be ahead. The GFS insists it moves back temporarily while that low transits CNE tomorrow but...heh.. wouldn't be shocked if the WPC analyzes the charts that way when in reality it's 47 deg butt poked
  4. March monthly SOI came in at +7.59. Since 1950, no Moderate+ later in the year El Nino had a March SOI >2.2 fwiw Doesn't mean it can't happen, 9 total examples

  8. 83 glorious day out. Cleaned up my backyard garden beds to get them ready. Clouds are starting to roll in but still enough sun with occasional wind gusts.

  12. Evidence is growing for a very substantial El Niño event. Very few El Niño events of the last 45+ years have seen a record strong WWB like this and twin TC’s this early in the spring….

  18. 12z GFS is under 1” total rainfall for almost the entire state of NC and most of SC and almost all that comes from a FROPA in about a week. Not good. Mountain areas do look to have semi consistent afternoon storms though that could help but there just aren’t any large scale storms to help region wide
