  2. I work in Oneida now (used to be Powell) and am enjoying the snow. .
  3. While it was an impressive setup on paper, it's not surprising that it busted for Chicago at least. Aside from the convective nature of LES, it is much harder to get ststionary banding on the west side of the lake.
  4. Low of 34 this morning, and breezy. Not too bad. Tomorrow morning though looking frigid with a low of 22. I am wondering if we actually get that low.
  5. Anyone know where NOAA moved their ENSO ONI product? All I know is that the ASO value is -0.5 from this: https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/lanina/enso_evolution-status-fcsts-web.pdf
  6. Yeah, I saw something related to that ^ last week. A paper discussing the pivot point as being weaker than previously thought.
  7. Nice to see some winter weather finally! Small flakes on an off here all morning so far down here.
  8. AO forecasts continue more negative, now at - 3 SD
  9. In Robbinsville some today. Currently light snow and 28 degrees.
  10. This afternoon and evening are going to get crazy around here with daytime convection and the vort dropping down. Fun times guys.
  11. It's been snowing good all morning here NW of Crossville. It's sticking to the roads now. School is canceled. If it snows enough, I'm planning to drive around and get some rare fall leaf photos in the snow, as long as they didn't all fall yesterday
  12. Looks like only 2" or so in Avondale lol and snow quality is terrible. Almost like most of the snow is graupel
  13. If by we you mean me... lala lockitup
  14. it probably won't even flurry up here, but it sure feels like it should. it is CHILLY.
  15. Moisture building along the border this morning.
  16. Lightest of dustings in west Asheville. Flurries and 30 currently
  17. Actually a couple miles south of Waldorf.
  18. Same. That shortwave is what has interested me. It has been strong on modeling for several days. We picked up a burst here on Knob Creek in JC which made the ground white a few mins ago.
  19. 2in here and still moderate sugar falling. Last short cut of the grass paid off lol. Roads are covered so it got cold enough for sure. A bit surprised. Wasn't expecting this much this far S but hell, I'll take it. Have fun up there!
  20. As of 7am this morning, O'Hare has picked up 1.6" of snow. Higher totals closer to the shoreline, but the big totals didn't materialize in and around the city proper. Evanston reported 3.5" this morning. Parts of Indiana have seen 6-12" with Touchdown Jesus covered in 6".
