2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season

A worthwhile read that goes into more detail about AI forecasting. We’ll see if the GDM can keep up the exceptional work. https://michaelrlowry.substack.com/p/ai-weather-models-changing-the-hurricane -
A worthwhile read. It’ll be interesting to see if GDM continues its exceptional performance this season. And we’ll see if the GFS bounces back. My God it was awful. https://michaelrlowry.substack.com/p/ai-weather-models-changing-the-hurricane

Uh-oh. Trust me on this folks, LOTS of repressed inventions are being released all at once! Man I am so fracking excited I can't believe it! I am studying AI and Robotics as fast and as hard as I can! If I ever get my hands on PAID courses, LOOK OUT! Look out for something called Optimus 3. When that puppy hits iteration 5, REALLY LOOK OUT! Robots are not gonna take Man out of the picture. Robots are going to free all of us to do whatever we want, and in those days I will be visiting Dale City again, in an antigrav vehicle that will be able to whisk me from Buda to the DMV in about 26 minutes! And, I will be chronologically in my 60s but for all practical purposes probably about 34. I'll be walking around FAST and digging snow in the winter again and dancing exactly like Michael Jackson on the ice on the Potomac Mills parking lot again because I will have General AI helping me. And 'JD' will be back at Charles Town again keeping records like back in 2010-2011! I still have those records! These are extremely exciting times we are living in! I want to scream this from the housetops, until I am HOARSE!

Went into DC on a rainy day adventure to see the tidal basin. DC really does the imperial city vibes well in the rain.

Funny from recent discussion NWS in Riverton, WY National Weather Service "Ridging should build across the area on Friday, bringing a warmer day and fewer showers and thunderstorms. The weekend forecast depends on what happens with an upper level low that will be dropping in from British Columbia. A few ensemble members show impacts as early as Friday night. However, models are usually too fast with these and most impacts would be Saturday or Sunday. And it is here where I bring up the famous Monty Python quote, "Now for something completely different".
