  5. Last May began very dry then turned quite wet and stayed wet until early August when rain stopped. El Nino suggests a possible reversal this year. I expect exceptional drought labeling later this morning.

  17. Another day, another forecast bust by the pros. Local mesonet says 0.01". I got more than that in my yard but still not enough to even soak through the leaf layer on the ground.

  21. I forget what it's like to have a rainy day where we get like 1.50". It's been since last fall if I remember correctly. All we get these days is a shower or sprinkles.
  22. A while ago I linked a report that concluded that solar+batteries were becoming cost competitive in sunny locations for 24-hour a day firm power. Here's another report with the same findings.
