The NEPAC situation is a complete disaster out here lol. Maybe the warmth will mean a more active Pac jet at least.

Yeah, that NEPAC Look would help augment and support a +PNA this Winter . Probably +TNH Episodes as well , looking at the whole Pac Profile. If we get some more improvement in the NATL we may get a better Winter Snow wise than most expect. - Today

Well then... Can't say I Google members names but that's pretty effed up. I can't do anything but remove/hide his posts and will do so until he explains himself to someone with a higher pay grade. In the meantime report his posts that get by until they make a decision.

2025-2026 Fall/Winter Mountain Thread

Yup...me too. I went through a direct hit from a tornado in North Texas when I was 6. I went through the eyewall of Hugo in Sumter, SC when I was 9. Neither one traumatized me like Helene. I'm rebuilding a house on the Nolichucky next to a memorial for an entire family. I hope we never experience anything like Helene again. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk -
lol Bears. They were in complete control and then just collapsed.

Enough with the chav speak and pretending to be street from the UK. This is a weather forum, not some TikTok twinkle toes dance off. Bad enough you use a famously racist troll account name as your user name here. If I ran this place I would have banned you immediately for the chutzpah of bringing that bad form into a serious forum like this. For those not familiar with the Barry Stanton racist Twitter persona, here is more information about it. Plenty more of this on Google. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13802719/amp/British-grandfather-left-terrified-police-arrest-cruel-social-media-trolls-use-pictures-family-online-spreading-racist-messages.html .

43/68 here today. Beautiful. Anybody else getting extra anxious every time the models spit out a gulf hurricane this year? I know any given run is unlikely, but I'm way more nervous than I've ever been. -

The "great analog song" has been sung many times in recent years to no avail! Relying on the look of the SST layout in early Sept is not high on my list...

Summer 2025 Medium/Long Range Discussion

Looks like some changes coming, which I’m happy about. I like the Midwest for the frequently changing weather patterns. Anything to end my boredom at this point. It’s been absolutely perfect and gorgeous weather and yet somehow I’m still unsatisfied. I did not choose to be this way. -

Yea I dont get wearing hoodies when the sun is still this strong and the daytime temps are in the 70s. Hoodies are a mid to late october thing -
At a glance that’s looking like 2013-2014 for the record … the sfc wind stressing associated with larger atmospheric circulation mode sets this in motion/emergence. The SSTs aren’t driving the winter pattern tendency - it’s an indicator for governing circulation biases; whatever causes the one is causing the other

45F here. You’re well on pace for a thick frost. I like to use the mid-afternoon dew points as a gage of the air mass… it was 40-41F here and 37-38F at HIE. Mid-30s will be easy there, possibly freezing, as it often radiates a tick below the well-mixed dew minimum.

Looks like a 2.08 three-day total from the last events here at a nearby PWS. Total since June 1st is 13.12. Not quite DIT's 17.3, but I'll take it. Hopefully those in the drought-stricken areas get some good soaking rainfall after this upcoming dry pattern.

I’m prepared! Plants are all in. Just hit 40

Black locust?

Cut it into rounds and load it on a trailer pulled by an ATV. Something that size I have to axe up to get it on the trailer.

are we gonna call it coc again

Never gets old not watch! Then what happens? Do you have a skidder to haul out? Do you cut on site then load em' up? then use a chipper for the small stuff?
