It really came down late morning and early this afternoon. Thankfully, the wind didn't last too long. I hate losing power.

Not going to lie, this weather has been nice though. Managed to only have the AC or heat on once in like the last 3 weeks. Tomorrow looks like a day to look forward to snow if its rainy all day.

Downpours and gusts have arrived. 0.6" so far, absolutely dumping out there now though.

Confirmed (observed) tornado over Captolo (just NW of Savannah). CC drop on radar too. As @GaWx points out the atmosphere has become destabilized in this area with discrete supercells developing. This is a much more conducive setup for tornadoes than yesterday

The rain has stopped now but the wind has picked up. Very gusty.

It’s a mean, but I see a massive GOA low and CONUS chinook.

The dewpoints here are way up in the high 70s, something very rare this late into fall. That with the 86 temp gives a heat index way up at 99-100 on Oct 10th! It feels awful! The shift from E to SE winds allowed this: CITY SKY/WX TMP DP RH WIND PRES REMARKS SAVANNAH ARPT PTSUNNY 87 77 72 S17G28 29.95F HX 99 HUNTER AFB MOSUNNY 86 79 79 SE17 29.92F HX 99TC 30 Wind gusts have picked back up with the increasing sunshine and winds at 5K feet being 30 knots (cumulus clouds are hauling) from the S along with strong SW winds at H5+ are setting up a potential for severe thunderstorms in this general area later this afternoon/eve.

That would be very beneficial for these parts. I hope it's right.
