I still have a hunch that may be dry air. Look at how the cool spot pinched off from the linear break in the convection present earlier. Now if convection walls off the SE side and that feature remains then I may be mistaken

Not sure about elbows but I dislocated my shoulder 25 years ago and its never been the same. These guys obviously get better medical treatment but sometimes there is only so much you can do to repair the body.

IR presentation is still fine--it looks like it's trying again to clear out an eye. I haven't seen satellite estimates come up however, and that may go a long way toward keeping this below hurricane status. Not sure. There's still time but the clock is ticking.
