  1. Past hour
  2. Biggest question mid month is do we still score some snow events despite the milder look. AI models really are hedging that way…OP models more mixed in their solutions.
  3. Just got thru salting the driveway. Piles on south side melting Just enough that the water refreezes into a sheen on frigid asphalt. April can come now
  4. car digi verified exactly 32 at 1:58 pm at 283 interchange of etown. downtown lanco had 34-35, then to lititz and 33. Now back home and 33. pretty uniform. right in line w/ meso analysis as of 4pm. My kinda thaw....
  5. The human body’s thermoregulation never ceases to amaze me! That same 28 and sunny in November would feel downright cold. After a couple of cold winter months though it now feels lovely!
  6. Yeah my bar was lower side of middle so like you, I'm more than happy that we've seen snow as much as we have, but moreover were able to keep what we got. thats Huge win for me personally. Winter landscape is what I love most. as you suggest, enough variables left to not put to much into MBY worries. I like you will enjoy the next week of cold and see how long we relax, and by some nooners, the relax may have some fun sprinkled in. Fine by me.
  7. Ya don’t forget that January had a 10 day mini torch with highs 40-50 everyday .. other than that it’s been a very cold Met winter.
  8. 18z NAMMY was looking good for Friday night
  9. Yep looks like we warm up next week. I will be in Charleston so looking forward to some warmth. Don't sleep on Valentine's weekend, a little blocking and get rid of that upper midwest low and you have a big winter storm in the SE. Looks like a strat split coming up that could make March very cold in the U.S., at least until mid-month.
  10. Them Russians need to learn from the Oswego County boys how to handle an 8 footer. The Tug got that and Arby's was open lol. Totally clouded up here about 90 minutes ago. It seems like it's cooler to the east and warmer to the west. CAPE hit 37. I hit 40. West of me hit mid 40's. My pack didn't even flinch today. Radar continues to look better than shitty.
  11. 3rd update on the season-to-date snowfall maps. Thanks to everyone who sent me reports, i tried to use most of them if i could fit em in. I didn't expect to do an update so soon after the last one but we had a significant amount of snow since Jan 20th. Reports are from here, cocorahs, COOP and official climo sites. You can always find these on the site as well as the CT map and Tri-State Area. https://www.jdjweatherconsulting.com/seasonal-snowfall/25-26-seasonal-snowfall Progression:
  12. We hope you enjoy your east wind with below normal SST in April
  13. Precipitation started as sleet as I drove off the mountain. All rain in Jacksboro.
  14. Snowfall-to-date maps updated (#3 for the season). Thanks to everyone who sent reports, i tried to use most of them if i could. Reports are from here, cocorahs, COOP and official climo sites. 15. Seems like this drastic cold snap we were supposed to get mid month seems to be fading. Sure we will get some cold days thrown in, maybe 3 or 4 days below normal after the 15th, but it seems like a normal February to me. Some warmth, some cold. Dare I say winter is over for GA???
  16. A very weak impulse made it over here last night but virga. I think this stronger one will do some good for us
  17. Youve been below average for 3 months…believe that.
  18. Less than an inch for most. Maybe 2” in a hill town somewhere. Generally, just nuisance stuff, if that
  19. 32 will do it. I phone app says back to 31. The clouds f’d us here. It was looking good until the clouds capped it.
