  1. Past hour
  2. These abrose jet events are very localized and sneaky. But it’s definitely gusting near 50mph in Lynbrook. My patios covered in leaves and small branches .
  3. back to clouded over and dark and having to put a light on. Need to get the clapper with how many times I have to turn on/off the light because of this crap
  4. I will be honest, I am looking forward to energy savings. Also, 2 of the last 3 super events had a KU event. Conscious that this is a very small sample size, however I would roll the dice winter with the active sourhern jet. Perhaps I am just greedy after the tri state area experienced 2 KU events this past winter.
  5. Another BN (but warmer) day at 72.2/37.7. Currently at -5.9 degrees for the month thru 13 days. S, M and T will put a dent in the 'coolness' with 87, 89 and 89 forecasted. EDIT- forgot, currently 62.5/55.9 at 2:45 pm with cloudy skies, had about 1/2 hour of light rain fall between noon and 1 pm.
  6. How is there no wind advisory.
  7. like. some in here will lose it if any kind of weather happens ? not sure what was so distracting, warm or cold, about any model run for that matter this morning.
  8. Warmer than forecast to 77 here bewteen clouds
  9. Sounds like you’re not fertilizing enough or at all . Too late to kill dandie’s now . You can spot treat with spray but that won’t prevent those nasty things from coming back next year. If you don’t fertilize , the lawn will continue to deteriorate like that each year
  10. 12z euro ai has some heaters. Who losing it?
  11. @mitchnick gonna run it off the Commodore 64 in his garage
  12. Probably a sandstorm down on the beaches
  13. Farmingdale now gusting to 48mph. .
  14. some here will lose it if the 12z GFS and 12z Euro AI have a clue
  15. Today
  16. 63 with some sun this afternoon. Not terrible
  17. Keep telling myself that today and tomorrow are likely the last shit days until March of next year to get through the shit day today lol
  18. NWS: showers linger into Thursday beneath the upper low which will be the coldest day of the week. Max temps will be unseasonably cool and quite chilly for mid May with highs in the 45-60F range or 10 to 20 degrees below the historical average (frequent 20-25 mph wind gusts will only add to the chill).
  19. I like the RRFS but it’s usually over-done. This is why I tend to like the HRRR as it’s generally more tempered. Between both it’s easier to draw a more-likely outcome during weather events. Will be sad to see it leave. NAM and its high resolution counterparts really seem to have shit the bed in the last few years but still will miss seeing what won’t happen.
  20. Not sure I can say the same about here. Currently light rain and 42.8°
  21. Losing the SREF is even more devastating! Need to host a Viking funeral.
  22. Another day on the Steppe...
  23. Warm sectoring here. Clouds breaking with a beautiful murky sky blue sky
  24. We still need all of the rain we can get so no complaints…yet. It’s not like we’re missing out on 80° and sun…just have to keep the shades closed for 72hrs.
  25. You say "I don't have time to write my own posts." That sounds to me like the whole post, not just the headline.
