Under a double severe thunderstorm warning now in Rockland. One from the cell overhead and now the line in NJ.

Apparently it was pouring on the Long Island expressway but by me completely clear

Driving through Morristown.  Like the end of days here.  Bolts of CTG lightning.  Gushing rain and winds to 40-45 mph.  Pulled into a parking lot route home is tree lined and not taking any chances.  Wet ground and wind not a good combo.

Velocities look pretty intense west of Newark, over 60mph. But it looks concentrated in a spot near East Orange.

Wild storm here in New Providence. Tons of lightning, heavy rain, and some high wind gusts. Hearing sirens around now.

Stuck in a parade of storms here. Nothing crazy, just constant. Had some dime sized hail for about 5 minutes but missed the main hail core.

Lee Goldberg showed a very ominous looking shelf cloud approaching the city from NJ at the start of the 6PM newscast.  City is definitely about to get rocked.
