Down to just patches of snow cover here this morning.

I spent the weekend in the Catskills.  Snow is patchy at the trailheads (almost gone in spots), but at least a couple of feet remains starting around 2500 feet and more higher.  In most places the snowpack is thoroughly rotted.  It has no structure and if you go off the packed tracks you sink to the bottom with very little resistance.  Some of the trails were washed out rivers on Sunday.  The snowpack there is going to release a lot of water between now and Wednesday.

starting this weekend cold enough air for snow making will return and probably last into a good portion of April for ski resorts that choose to remain open - mainly caused by the Start Warming event now unfolding.

63 already, overpreforming so far. Yesterday underperformed here with a high of only 58.8, then a high of 59.3 around 11:30pm when the front finally pushed the sea breeze offshore

Not sure where we'll end today, probably won't hit 70 on the south shore, but 63 with a sea breeze is pretty good so far

Enjoy the transient 3/16-3/20 cooldown. A massive warm surge pushes across the entire CONUS right after the Equinox…..

Wow, actually looks like 2012 at times. People should be happy as we'll finally be moving on to spring. Y'all had a great winter, no one should be complaining about this.
