The band does look like it may keep moving east so maybe it rots over us? Who knows lol. Incredible storm even if it doesn’t. Just sick stuff happening outside.

Glad I managed to sneak in about 3 hours of sleep lol

The RAP dry slots us for a while. The HRRR keeps us in moderate snow then puts the band to the west over us.

That SE CT band ain’t at its pivot point yet though. Wonder if it finds its way here .. not banking on it but it’s possible.

We are going to dry slot between the bands before the band to the west of us gets here.

we've had thundersnow around here at least 5-6 storms that i can think of. Feb 2001, Feb 2003, Feb 2013, Feb 2017, Mar 2018. I missed one of those. I could be forgetting others but those i know for sure.

Gusting to 14 here :bike:

The mb differential is always fun but it mostly comes down to the strength of the storm, the LLJ, and the ability to mix it down. 10/10 on all of that down there this morning.

I haven’t looked at any official measurements, but it was pretty darn windy here at least a little while ago. Rattling the windows and the snow was falling sideways. I don’t know how much snow I’ve had because of the wind, but I’m thinking at least an inch maybe two and it looks like we’re finally getting a push in the radar, but the dry air may eat that up, I suppose.

I have a memory of a goldfish when it comes to this stuff, but mar 2018 sounds about right. It’s been a long time. Haven’t had thundersnow here yet but it’s sick even without that

Yeah that Mar 7-8th 2018 insane storm, had a CG strike very close by while i was outside. Felt like a summertime convective clap, not just a distance rumble
