Great, glad we agree!

Love the fact that we have guys like RU..., weatherpruf, blizzardo also in the area. Fun to check totals against others.
In marginal temperature situations, places like Metuchen and Colonia almost always get more than me down by the Raritan Bay.

I'm not sure but I gotta be nearing 30...

Haven't measured yet today, but snow stake is at 18" implying at least a 14" snowfall.  We've had nothing since 7am; three hours and counting in this crazy little snow hole over the north shore of central LI.

At least one sizeable limb is down from a hemlock out back.

Looks like something trying to pop and drift across the sound.

Reports of near 30 inches of snow in the Hamptons already and that was like 1015 am

I’m about 35 miles west, and we’re pretty close to that #

Could be, some hotspots under these bands.

20" here in Garwood (unofficially).  Unofficial, because I cleared my driveway which had 17.5", then 2.5" more has fallen since.  Still snowing lightly in central Union county...

1.56” of liquid equivalent (all in the form of snow except perhaps the first .01-.02”) has fallen at NYC/C Park as of 10AM and it’s still coming down very heavily! This storm is nearly beyond description.

https://forecast.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KNYC.html

.38 liquid on Central Park from 7-11 am and the 7 am measurement for snow was 15.1 inches.

They have to be at 19-20 inches now minimum.

in metuchen? i'm in colonia, i don't measure, i try to go with locals but there can be significant variance even locally.

So difficult to make an accurate measurement with this type of storm. Our friend RU is the best with measurements and he's saying almost 22 in Metuchen. I got an average measurement of 20 here in Piscataway. The drifts are incredible.
