first decent heavy rain event in 3.5 months for LV.  We really need this rain and it will soak into the unfrozen ground this time. This really will help the drought situation and farmers fields and will bringing up the base flows in the streams.

I would think days and days of slowly melting snow the ground must be drenched?

Winter holding on for dear life. Still haven’t made it out of the 40s this week…maybe this evening

That's why we shouldn't have created a Spring thread so damn early. It becomes confusing which thread to post in?

Stuff out by Pitt...

If that's true, then it's warmer where I am in Vermont. I'm seeing mid-50s:

07 15:56 N 3 10.00 Fair CLR 54 43     67%     29.8 1009.1
07 14:56 Calm 10.00 Partly Cloudy SCT046 SCT095 55.9 44.1     65%     29.84 1010.2
07 13:56 N 3 10.00 Mostly Cloudy FEW055 BKN110 54 42.1     64%     29.88 1011.7

You realize that’s perfectly possible with a back door cold front right? ENE wind off the ocean. Somehow I doubt Vermont is seeing a heavy marine influence

Forecast is two whole days to see the sun and feel the warmth before crappy weather returns

Worst part of this for me was the forecast from last weekend had the warm-up starting on Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday being in the mid 50 to mid 60's. and Saturday solidly in the 60's. That didn't happen as we rotted (up here anyway) in the low 40's with a foggy drizzle all three days. So the warmth was delayed considerably. If only the cold push would be subsequently delayed. I feel cheated otherwise.
