Picked up 0.20" last night, and a T of snow so far this morning.  

Up to 0.71" for the year here, MLI only at 0.48".  MLI is now down 2.31" below normal precip for the year already.

I was bagging on Central Iowa not even a week ago saying what a painful place to live. If you like snow and you guys get 15 inches. Can’t make this up 

 

it would take Detroit 15 days to get 15 inches of snow and with it snowing every day

snow started around 7 this morning.  Will end up with less than an inch, but the wind was definitely a slap in the face compared to this past week

A band of heavy snow early this morning (I was asleep) dropped 2.2" of snow here.  0.59" of rain fell before the switch.

The main band over-performed to my nw.

Central Iowa didnt get 15"...but again Des Moines was due. Now let's get @cyclone77ssomething

BTW. You'll be happy to know the models suck everywhere. It's pouring in the U.P. and a few days ago this looked like an all snowstorm. The rain should turn to snow this afternoon.

Pulled this from MRCC. Currently tied for the 5th lowest amount. 2024 was pretty meager, as well.

Chicago also experienced the first time Nov, Dec, and Jan had above avg snow since the 1970s. Might as well go low in Feb then get a big march snowstorm

While getting data for snow totals for my sig, I see TH co-op only had 1.5" on the 18th, yet SD went from 2" to 12". Guess the wind robbed the snowboard, and drifted around the SD stick. Actual was probably around 5", which would be similar to a CoCoRahs site just NE of town on the shore who reported 5.3" that morning. TH co-op is on the shoreline. too. I had 7.6".
