Looks like both skynet GFS and OP GFS are going to put an end to that....both models look east of 12z.

00z is last stand I think...we need a trend back west at 00z or we can punt this one I think. This is the type of threat that 2 or 3 east trends in a row is fatal.

Gfs will struggle on a big coastal like this especially with its SE bias. Will be surprised if Euro and EPS don’t follow suit on other models with big west move

don't know about Stein but the sun angle will make a difference in a couple weeks .. towards mid February it can be 20 out but you get into a warm car

already underway, even today you could really notice that stronger angle.

Have to admit, not sure I buy this 18z GFS solution here. The H5 literally squashed the thing like a pancake. No other models do that so far.
