Also looks like it might be snowing within the next 30 to 60 minutes in western Connecticut and Massachusetts Greenwich probably has close to an inch I'd assume based on radar and duration, waiting for an ob from a snow removal client in Tarrytown about 5 miles west of greenwich .. EDIT he says about 1.5" "very fluffy snow"

I mean, I definitely do weenie radar hallucinations in every storm. But what you said earlier, this storm is at least four hours ahead of schedule. Maybe that means nothing or maybe it’s just testimony to the intensity of moisture overriding such a cold air mass.

No doubt, my forecast for first inch was between 9-10am in Tarrytown.. So way ahead of schedule with 1.5" at 7am.

The 4 Seasons
13 minutes ago, Sey-Mour Snow said: What is the board clearing rules for a storm of this duration? How many hours in? Do I do it when I change to sleet? Clear every hour for maximum snowfall amounts in your area or county. Make sure you measure in the grass for extra depth (adds an inch or so). If no grass is available then measure on top of old snow. Maximum measurements occur at a 45 degree angle, so that is important, use protractor if necessary. If there is blowing and drifting, find the deepest drift and measure that. Thats the basic rules. 1 8

Sey-Mour Snow
There's def a brick wall of dry air past SW CT, having a hard time saturating here , still just random flakes for 30 minutes now , where as the NYC metro went straight to heavy snow instantly. N half of CT is the 18-24" range and southern half is 12-18".... not 12-18/8-12. you are on the boarder of 18-24 in that map. 1
