I want the HRRR to be true but it doesn't have Fredericksburg mixing for 3 more hours when they're sleeting right now.

Started noticeably snowing in Fallston around 2 am, was coming down good at 3am, just went out and measured and over 2 inches so far. Rates are good. Feels like I can say fuck the NAM for up here. Hoping to make the run at 8-10 inches before the flip. Stay away subsidence…

Still 9am for DCA. it's actually been kind of a rock here today with a 14z flip.

Eyeballing out my window in Arlington, looks like 2 1/2 inches on fencetops.

Just MAYBE my Hill of Doom has been plowed, but hard to tell.

Visibility down to 1/2 mile, or maybe a bit less.

It's always in my list but was in the middle for this move...history says things even out and we were due. If this drops 10"+ here then sleets like a mofo I'd say that is a pretty good due payment

Great news is that at least at the surface NAM forecast is running too warm.  Example:  5 am actual temp DCA was 16 degrees. NAM forecast with WB 6Z 3K NAM was 20 degrees for 5 am.

Looking at radar loop clearly see a SW to NE orientation with the movement of the precipitation shield.  It is not lifting north like a warm front.
