Light snow kept falling and overnight. Picked up another inch. Up to about 4.5”. Forecast calls for another 2-5” on NYE. December is going to look halfway decent when all said and done. I’ve measured 12.6” imby now for the month.

I woke to a new snowpack that basically in 24hr restored most of what I lost during the major rain and thaw . Intense LES band over me currently giving major vibes! Suppose to get 1-2" but hoping for more if we're going to be smothered in snow anyhow. I can't stop looking out the window at the pour

Light snow this morning with a solid coating. Snow shield is more expansive and further south then expected. Got down to 3F last night before temps started to slowly rise.

Flakes still going on for 18 hours straight and counting without any signs of letting up very soon. Might as well keep them coming through the entire day today.

I've already exceeded the total daily snow forecast (at 9am no less) just in the needle streamer that dumped on me, its connecting to lake Ontario. 2-3" was expected. The sun came out for all to shovel and plow before it wiggled back over. 50-60cm/20-24" drifts in the driveway.

Too bad about the melt and the rain on Sunday, if it was snow this would match last Dec's snowpack and be another snowmageddon. A diamond of a December nonetheless.

Radar showing strong returns. Have flakes the size of quarters, and even some that are elongated up to 2" under calm conditions. Pretty cool

Temperatures briefly moderated in southwestern Manitoba, s SK and North Dakota, generally a little above freezing today, back into the deep freeze up there tonight.  The milder air is making limited inroads into nw Ontario and Winnipeg region has warmed only into the mid-20s (F).

0.4” of snow today and now we’ve flipped over to FRDZ as expected.

Picked up 0.3" from a wave of light snow earlier.  Up to 18.1" for the season now.  Last year at this time we only had 1.9" lol.

Report of 3” in Findlay. I think the NWS might’ve swung and missed on this one, roads were not good at all coming home from BG. They’ll probably wind up with around 2-3” from these bands

 Where I sit in Sylvania, I believe we’re affected by subtle orographic descent off the glacial ridge to our northwest. I’ve seen it too many times to ignore—it often produces a noticeable drying effect, especially when systems approach from the NW.
